Student designer, creating connections

Illustrator

Vectors, Logos, & Design

“Mochi Mochi”

Adobe Illustrator

Mochi Mochi was made in Adobe Illustrator for an illustrative design class.
The objective was to create a packaging mockup within the Adobe software.
The goal was to provide a clear and tangible preview of a design
I made; ultimately, allowing for feedback and informed decisions from future clients.

Vision

The inspiration for my design came from a drawing I made for my sister. That design required a lot of pinks and chibi like characters and I put the same concept to this mockup. Adding faces and an almost fluid like design behind the “logo” creates flow within the design of the packaging. This also made it easier to flow through the whole package.

“The Big Island”

Adobe Illustrator

The Big Island, made in Adobe Illustrator, was created for an assignment.
We were asked to create an appealing Island map while using Illustrator tools and
Vector manipulation. The goal was to learn the powerful design tools of
Adobe Illustrator and create professional, visually compelling customized maps.

Vision

Though my professor was very thorough about teaching me the basics of vector design I went and did a little research of what kind of maps people make. I was amazed by the kinds of art that is out there. I was able to find this cool article of how this author (Woolley) created his Island map illustration. I took this advice and made a smaller, similar version of my home. It was a fun project and I learned a lot about Illustrator this way

“Emotional and Contribution”

Adobe Illustrator

Emotional and Contribution was created within Adobe Illustrator. This piece was
made for my Infographics class. Where we helped combine elements of
traditional storytelling with the interactive and immersive capabilities of digital media. Using
information we gathered to help create a place for new students to navigate challenges they might find within college.

Vision

I wanted to create an infographic that portrays a journal that has information about growing your emotional intelligence. To make connections with keys that open up a “new journal” or a book that can lead you to services that can help you to success within the campus. Adobe Illustrator software helped me create that visual
